Coaching Core Technical Skills for High Performance - Training to Compete

This DVD contains a series of progressive practices designed to improve the core technical skills of rugby players embarking on the elite development pathway. Exclusive pitch-side England match footage and full animations detail the structure of practices which can be adapted for players of all ages and experiences.
The practices are split into 3 distinctive areas of the game. Each section contains relevant practices ranging from short warm-ups to controlled game situations. You will be shown overviews of each exercise demonstrating their structure and organisation, as well as detailed examples explaining the key coaching points and how to achieve correct technique.
The exercises and sessions are progressive, gradually building up technique and increasing the pressure placed on the players, with the ultimate aim of ensuring that good core skills are a habit under the intense pressure of a match
Session plans utilising all of the exercises are included in PDF format for you to print out. To access these you will need to use a DVD-ROM drive. All sessions can be used as part of a coaching programme, individual sessions can be used to improve specific areas of skills and individual practices can be used to improve specific weak areas of individual players.
