Information about or from children

Data will not be collected online from children under 14 years of age without first obtaining a parent's verifiable and explicit consent. Orders for goods will not be accepted from children under 16 without first obtaining a parent's/teacher's verifiable and explicit consent.

Purchasing online

If you choose to purchase products, we need to know your name, email address, delivery address and credit/debit card details. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of the status of your order.

We ask for your telephone number, which enables us to contact you if there is a problem with your order.

We may pass this on to a courier if we are experiencing problems delivering the package to your address

We also ask you to state your specific interests on the shopper update page, but these fields are optional. This allows us to post or email you information directly related to your interests. However, if you do not wish to receive any emails or mailings from us, please tick the relevant box.

When you place orders online, the secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. At no point are any credit card transactions sent over an unsecured server. However, if you are still a bit nervous, call our Customer Care team and place your order on the phone the good old-fashioned way. If your credit card is stolen and used on our service you may find that you receive free protection from your credit card provider. Should you discover someone has been misusing your card you should contact your credit card company immediately.

Information protected

The Community Rugby Shop may collect and publish aggregate statistics about our customers, sales and traffic patterns. These statistics will include no personally identifying information. All the information held on our systems is password protected and Community Rugby  will not sell any personal information to any third parties. We may use the information you provide to send you Community Rugby catalogues and other material, which we feel may be of interest from Community Rugby. We may also email you with special promotions or product updates. If you would prefer not to receive such mailings, please tick the relevant box on the page titled Account Information. Alternatively, please write to our Customer Care department or email enquiries@CommunityRugbyShop.com with your request.

Our 'cookies' are small pieces of information stored by your computer on your hard drive. They enable us to recognise you when you enter the site again so you do not have to re-enter your personal details on the Account Information page and so that we can store items in your shopping basket between visits. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that.
